Rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again (NBA YoungBoy) had to briefly stop his recent performance in Columbia, South Carolina, after a concertgoer repeatedly threw objects onto the stage. The Louisiana native, currently on his highly publicized MASA Tour, paused his set to deliver a no-nonsense verbal warning to the disruptive fan.
"I had to calm myself down," the artist told the audience, before issuing a clear ultimatum: “Throw one more thing up here, I’mma whoop your a**, boy. Throw one more.”
YoungBoy then addressed the broader crowd, reminding them of the tone for the night. "You can play with me tonight if you want to," he challenged fans. "This a YoungBoy show. You didn't spend your money to come through this muthafin’ door to let no na do no py a s**t here tonight.” Following the tense exchange, the energy in the arena reportedly shifted, and the performance continued smoothly without further incidents.
Controversy Plagues the MASA Tour
This latest outburst is another headline-grabbing moment for the MASA Tour, which has been shadowed by controversy since its launch.
Just last month, the tour's scheduled stop at the United Center in Chicago was abruptly canceled without a clear explanation from the venue. This decision drew sharp criticism from YoungBoy’s management. Manager Alex Junnier publicly called out the venue on social media, accusing the United Center of "bi—ed out," and specifically targeting an employee: “Shoutout to Joe Myhra @UnitedCenter. He didn’t want us to have fun. Scary.” He later doubled down, adding, “It’s ok, everyone; Joe just sits behind a desk and got nervous.”
In addition to the canceled show, the tour was rocked by footage from the Kansas City stop showing a violent altercation between a fan and an elderly venue security guard. Local reports confirmed a 14 year old was later detained for allegedly assaulting the employee.
Despite the ongoing drama, Young Boy Never Broke Again is pushing forward, with his next tour stop slated for Florida this weekend.
