Mental Health Champion of the Year: The Hottie with a Heart
On Friday, October 10th—recognized globally as Mental Health Day—Megan Thee Stallion was officially honored with The Trevor Project’s Mental Health Champion Of The Year award. This recognition highlights her powerful and consistent advocacy for mental wellness.
The Grammy-winning superstar emphasized her commitment to breaking stigmas, stating: “I’m honored to receive this year’s Mental Health Champion award from The Trevor Project... My goal has always been to use my platform to help break stigmas around mental health and provide resources for those seeking safe spaces to have honest and heartfelt conversations.”
The Trevor Project, a vital non-profit organization focused on suicide prevention, crisis support, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ youth, recognized Megan for her impact. She added, "Mental health impacts all of us, so it’s important to lead with love and empathy. I’m grateful for organizations like The Trevor Project that are committed to spreading awareness and supporting our LGBTQ+ youth in powerful ways.”
She now joins a distinguished list of past recipients, including fellow boundary-pushers Janelle Monae and Lil Nas X.
Legal Fire: Judge Sides With Meg in Blogger Lawsuit
In other news, the "Hot Girl Coach" secured a significant victory in her legal action against blogger Milagro Gramz (real name Milagro Elizabeth Cooper).
On Thursday, October 9th, Judge Lisette M. Reid ruled against Gramz in a crucial pre-trial decision. The ruling found that Gramz had intentionally deleted thousands of text messages and even removed the WhatsApp application from her phone after being legally notified to preserve all relevant digital evidence for the case.
Megan’s legal team had formally notified Cooper to maintain both physical and digital records the day before the lawsuit was even filed. Due to Gramz’s blatant destruction of key evidence, the court has ruled that jurors in the upcoming trial can be instructed to presume the deleted communications would have been detrimental to the blogger’s defense. This is a massive turn in Megan's favor and a strong statement from the court against obstruction of justice.
From empowering her fans to prioritize their mental health to fighting back against online harassment in the courtroom, Megan Thee Stallion continues to demonstrate her strength and commitment to justice.
